I had mixed feelings about my stay at Broadway Hotel & Hostel. While the location is fantastic, close to Central Park and convenient subway access, there were several aspects that need improvement, particularly regarding noise and room conditions. The staff were friendly and helpful, which definitely added to the experience, but I struggled with sleep quality due to the noise from neighbors.

Rooms

The room I stayed in had twin beds, and while the amenities were adequate, it needed repairs. I found the air conditioning quite loud and the linen was not as clean as I had hoped.
Service
6.0
The staff were always courteous and ready to assist. However, I faced some issues with check-in and key deposits, which added unnecessary stress to the start of my stay.
Location

The hotel is in a great area, just a few subway stops from midtown and surrounded by food options. It's ideal for those flying into LaGuardia as it's close to public transport, making it easy to navigate the city.
Dining
8.0
There are reasonable dining options nearby, and the hostel provides a kitchen area for guests, which is a nice convenience for anyone looking to prepare their meals.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities could use some updates. I noticed the elevator was out of service during my stay, which made getting around a bit of a hassle, especially with luggage.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Broadway Hotel & Hostel. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and I found the location to be very convenient for exploring the city. However, I did encounter some issues with WiFi connectivity during my visit, which was frustrating. Overall, it was a decent experience with friendly service that made my trip enjoyable.

Rooms
8.0
My room was neat with a comfortable bed, although the furniture felt a bit old. I appreciated having a private bathroom, and the room had enough amenities for my needs.
Service

The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, from the doorman who helped with my luggage to the reception staff who ensured I had everything I needed.
Location

The hotel is situated close to multiple subway stations, making it easy to navigate around the city. There are plenty of dining options nearby as well, which was a huge plus.
Dining

I noticed the hotel offered reasonably priced snacks and beverages in the communal areas, which made it easy to grab something when I was on the go.
Facilities

The hotel had communal areas, but I found the WiFi service unreliable during my stay. Fortunately, I had a backup plan with mobile data.

7.0/10

I had a decent time at the Broadway Hotel & Hostel, but there were definitely some downsides. The location was fantastic, just a quick walk to the subway and various eateries. However, the WiFi was practically useless in my room, which really put a damper on things. Overall, I would say it's an okay choice for a budget stay, but it could use some improvements to be truly great.

Rooms
6.0
My room had twin beds and was quite small, but it came with all the basics. Unfortunately, the A/C was loud and not very effective, and there were cleanliness issues with the linens.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally polite, but my check-in experience was less than ideal. I was asked for a cash key deposit without getting a receipt, which felt a bit unprofessional.
Location
8.0
I loved the location! It was right by the subway and close to various attractions and areas in Manhattan. It made getting around really easy.
Dining
7.0
There were plenty of food places nearby with reasonable prices, which was a huge plus during my stay.
Facilities

The facilities felt more like a dorm than a hotel, and the broken elevator was a real inconvenience. I had to lug my bags down steep stairs upon checkout.

6.8/10

My stay at the Broadway Hotel & Hostel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, making it easy to get to popular attractions via the subway. However, the amenities were quite basic and the room needed some updates. The staff were friendly and helpful, which certainly added to the experience.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a twin bed suite that had all the necessary amenities, but it really needs a refresh. The beds felt small and the linens had some stains. The A/C was incredibly noisy and didn't cool properly, making it hard to rest. The room had a musty smell, and I could hear sounds from the neighbors easily.
Service
6.0
The staff here were generally courteous and eager to help. However, I faced some issues, such as not receiving a receipt for my key deposit. Also, the check-in process took quite a while, and I had to go down multiple flights of stairs to get the WiFi password after a long day.
Location
8.0
The location was a major plus! It was right near two subway stations, making it easy to reach various NY attractions. I appreciated being close to Central Park and found several food options nearby.
Dining
7.0
Dining options nearby were reasonably priced, which was a bonus. I didn't eat in the hostel's kitchen since it was quite basic, but I enjoyed meals at local spots within walking distance.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were pretty basic: there was no elevator during my stay, which was quite inconvenient, especially with heavy luggage. The common area seemed more like a dormitory than a hotel setting, but I didn't spend much time there.

My stay at the Broadway Hotel & Hostel had its ups and downs. The location is excellent for exploring NYC and the staff were friendly, but the room conditions left much to be desired, with cleanliness issues and a loud A/C. Overall, it's a budget option with potential if improvements are made. 🏙️😬

Rooms

The room I stayed in was small and had cleanliness issues, including stains and a musty smell. Additionally, the air conditioning was quite loud and didn't cool well. Overall, it could really use a refresh.
Service
5.0
The staff were courteous and helpful, but I encountered issues like not receiving the WiFi password upfront and having to wait for my room upon check-in. There was a lack of direct communication from the front desk about important details.
Location
6.0
The location was fantastic, right on a busy subway line with express trains to major sites. It was only a 15-20 minute walk to Central Park, surrounded by food options, which was very convenient.
Dining
6.0
Dining options nearby were reasonably priced and had a good variety. I appreciated having many choices close to the hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The facility had a broken elevator and narrow hallways, which made carrying luggage quite challenging. While services like room service and airport shuttle were offered, the overall setup felt more like a dormitory.
